How will PEBC ensure that the test is comparable to another candidate's test and is an appropriate measure of that candidate's eligibility
Pharmacist Aptitude Test Part I -MCQs is a carefully constructed test that follows a specific blueprint, ensuring that the test covers the 9 entry-to-practice competencies established by NAPRA. There are other aspects that make Part I -MCQs quite unique that are taken into account when configuring the LOFT system. Through these configurations, PEBC ensures that in each test-
a. Include an appropriate representation of a variety of topics, such as disease status, calculation questions, and other relevant practice issues.
b. The balanced proportion of standalone and case-based questions and the level of difficulty of the exam are comparable to each other.
c. After configuring the requirements for each test, PEBC reviews the simulations as part of its quality assurance processes, to confirm whether each version of the test meets the requirements. The PEBC adjusted the configuration until it was satisfied that the configurations were appropriate and that the tests assembled were representative of what PEBC would routinely administer to candidates in each administration.
