If a candidate has lost his PEBC certificate, how can he request for a replacement PEBC certificate
For this the candidate has to make a statutory declaration stating his full name, present address and why he needs replacement and fee. A notary public must show a statutory declaration by the commissioner or lawyer for oath.
What will it take to obtain PEBC certification if a candidate has obtained his or her pharmacy degree outside Canada or the United States
1. Before applying to PEBC for Document Evaluation, candidates must register at Pharmacist Gateway Canada and obtain a National Identifier Number.
2. Document Evaluation: To be eligible to take the Pharmacist Assessment Test, a candidate must pass this assessment of his or her educational and professional credentials.
3. Pharmacist Assessment Test: The candidate has to qualify this test to be eligible for Pharmacist Aptitude Test - Part I - MCQ and II -OSCE.
4. Pharmacist Aptitude Test Part I - MCQs & Part II - OSCE: Candidate's final stage to qualify for certification with PEBC. When the candidate qualifies in both the parts of the exam he/she will be certified and registered with PEBC.
5. Language Proficiency Test: PEBC does not require a language proficiency test like TOEFL, TSE or IELTS. The candidate must contact the provincial licensing authority of the province where he/she wishes to practice to inquire about their language proficiency requirements.
6. Immigration: Candidates may contact their local Canadian Embassy for immigration related questions. The candidate does not need to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident to write the document evaluation for the PEBC exam.
When a candidate sees an application for Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) under 'My Application', what is that
An ECA is an assessment of the authenticity and equivalence of the primary pharmacist qualification - a 4-year, undergraduate, pharmacy degree. It is used by candidates wishing to apply for immigration to Canada under the "Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and Express Entry for Canadian Experience Classes" and for whom pharmacists are the primary candidates for their application to immigrate to Canada. Is there any application deadline for the exams What happens if a candidate does not fill the application in the portal on time
Application deadline is applicable in the candidate portal. With PEBC's candidate portal, candidates are assigned an application to appear for any examination for which they are eligible. If the candidate does not apply and does not make the payment by 12 Noon (Noon) Eastern Time on the last date of examination, the application is rejected. When it is time for the next round of applications, the PEBC exam will reassign the applications. Application deletion does not affect applications or examinations that have been previously completed by candidates. No action is required for existing applications if the candidate does not wish to apply.
